Hong Kong’s HK$1.34 billion project transformed the musty Tsui Ping nullah in Kwun Tong into a 1km “smart river.” Integrating weather-responsive gates, walkways, wetlands, and green spaces, the four-year overhaul improves flood control, ecology, and recreation. Opening December 2024, it aligns with the Energising Kowloon East Plan to revitalize the area into a vibrant business hub.
