The Shard, a mixed-use high-rise in London’s London Bridge Quarter, integrates key public transit systems, including London Bridge mainline station, bus interchange, and two Underground lines. Scheduled for completion in 2012, the project aims to maximize space efficiency around a major transport hub, enhancing density and connectivity in central London. Construction involves replacing the 1970s Southwark Tower.
